Mara Genender
Maid of Honor Sister of the Bride
Mara is Jaime’s favorite (and only) sister. Four years younger than Jaime, Mara was always the subject of her sister’s practical jokes and teasing when they were younger. Now that Jaime and Mara are grown up, their sisterly relationship has turned into a friendship. Mara graduated from UIUC in May and will start a job as an Audit Associate at Deloitte in September, after taking the CPA this summer. More importantly, she will be Jaime and Rob’s lifetime accountant ;-)
Fun Fact: Mara was the first person in Jaime’s family to know that Rob was going to propose. He told her on their family vacation in December.

Lisa Kaplan
Bridesmaid Friend of the Bride
Jaime and Lisa met freshman year of college when they both pledged AEPHI. Their friendship seemed fated because both their mothers were in the AEPHI pledge class of 1974 at UIUC. Lisa is the truest of friends, always willing to lend an ear or dole out honest advice. Lisa is married to her college sweetheart, Aaron, and Jaime was a bridesmaid in their July 2003 wedding. She currently works for Chicago Event Management, planning the Chicago Marathon, although she will be moving to Philadelphia shortly.
Fun Fact: Rob and Lisa knew each other in college because they both worked at The Planet, the campus radio station

Marnie Ross
Bridesmaid Friend of the Bride
Marnie and Jaime met their freshman year of high school at HPHS. They laughed their way through their high school days and spent hours upon hours talking on the phone, planning their weekend outings and gabbing about everything under the sun. Even though the pair has not lived in the same state since senior year of high school, they remain close friends today. Marnie is currently the Program Supervisor for Best Buddies Massachusetts and is taking classes towards her Masters Degree.
Fun Fact: Marnie claims that Jaime was a b*&#h to her the first time they met. Jaime vehemently denies it.

Abby and Jaime also love to compare notes on their dogs. Jaime attended Abby and Michael’s wedding in October 2001 at The Standard Club. Abby is a Consultant for Kraft Foods and is finishing up her MBA at The Graduate School of Business at Loyola University Chicago.
Fun Fact: Abby and Jaime both attended Camp Birch Trail for girls in Minong, WI, although not at the same time.

Michelle Treguboff
Bridesmaid Friend of the Bride
Michelle was another member of the AEPhi class of 2000. She had the pleasure of living with Jaime for a year and a half in college and even in such cramped quarters, the two never had a fight or even a tiff unheard of for college aged girls! Michelle is a great secret keeper and very thoughtful. She even calls Jaime every Friday afternoon to keep her occupied during her long drive from Libertyville to Chicago. Michelle is the School Program Coordinator for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Chicago and has her Masters of Social Work Degree from UIC.
Fun Fact: Rob was Michelle’s date at her freshman year Barndance in October 1996, before Jaime and Michelle became good friends. Luckily for Jaime, the two did not hit it off!

Dana Weine
Bridesmaid Cousin of the Bride
Dana is Jaime’s first cousin on her father’s side of the family. Jaime and Dana were both creative children - their imaginary friends used to have play dates with each other. The cousins enjoy celebrating holidays together, swimming at their Grandma’s pool and getting together for no reason at all. Dana is much more than a cousin to Jaime; she is truly her friend. She married Eli in August 2003, and Jaime was a bridesmaid in their wedding. This fall, Dana will be starting a new position as a kindergarten teacher at Bret Harte School in Hyde Park. She has her Masters of Science in Child Development from the Erikson Institute.
Fun Fact: Dana and Jaime used to perform plays for their family at every gathering. Be on the lookout for a theatrical performance from Dana during the wedding ;-)

Junior Bridesmaid Cousin of the Bride
Jori is Jaime’s first cousin on her mother’s side. Jori enjoys helping Jaime set up her classroom every August and wants to be a teacher. She is a junior at HPHS.
Fun Fact: Jaime was the flower girl in Jori's parents' wedding when she was four years old on December 18, 1982 - exactly 22 years ago!

Noah Wintroub
Best Man Friend of the Groom
Whether he’s out sealing mega-billion-dollar mergers or hunting ducks, Noah observes the “Work hard, Play hard” mentality to a ‘T.’ Rob met Noah in study hall and English class their freshmen year at New Trier. From then on the two have remained best of friends. They have co-hosted an award-winning radio show at WNTH, danced the samba at Carnival in Rio de Janeiro, and partied in Glacier National Park in Montana. After graduating Colgate University, Noah lived with Rob in Lincoln Park (Chicago) for a year then moved to San Francisco where he met his future bride (September, 2004) Carey Jennings. Noah currently “works” for JP Morgan, wheeling, dealing and traveling, and lives in Palo Alto, CA.
Fun Fact: After their freshman year, Noah and Rob were never allowed to be in the same class again.

Dave Bloomberg
Groomsman Friend of the Groom
Rob has known Dave the longest of all his groomsmen. They met at tennis camp in Philadelphia the summer before the two entered high school (1990). Naturally, Dave went on to become an accomplished saxophonist (he played in New Orleans’ Jazz Fest); Rob became captain of the track team. Dave and Rob became close on a teen trip which took them to Poland and Israel in 1993. Both liked the Israel part better. The two have ridden camels in the Negev desert, worked as camp counselors at “Z” Frank Apachi Day Camp and have a thing for redheads. Originally from Highland Park, Dave went to Emory University and then Northwestern University School of Law. He is now a hot-shot lawyer in New York City.
Fun Fact: Dave’s wife Kim (a redhead) was a good friend of Rob’s at UIUC, but Rob cannot take credit for playing matchmaker.

After college, the two joined Brad Pinsler, Dan Ripes and Mark Rauser in creating the now legendary The Paper, a collection of societal commentaries, humor and poetry. The two have enjoyed the Indiana University party scene, camped out at Bryce Canyon, UT, and were members of the 1997 UIUC Intramural Flag Football championship team. Marshall received his Masters in Education from DePaul University and now teaches English at Lane Tech High School. He resides in the suburb of Glenview with his wife Allison, baby girl Noa and two golden retrievers.

Dan Levin
Groomsman Friend of the Groom
“D-Love” is the Brooklyn-bred, world-traveled and world-famous former roommate of Rob. In 1997 the two studied abroad in Tel Aviv, Israel. At the time Dan played football (defensive end) for Tufts University. Upon meeting the realtive giant fresh off football season, Rob feared he was going to be Dan's tackling dummy, or worse: dead. After discovering that Rob shared a sense of humor, a passion for travel and an interest in home repair (duct tape), Dan decided to keep Rob around. The two have studied the Torah in Israel, seen Phish at Shoreline, CA, and smoked cigars with Lawrence Fishburne in New York City. Dan is an area governor of Toastmasters International, business consultant and international man of leisure. He lives in Manhattan Beach (LA), CA, with his wife Aliyah and baby boy Jaden.
Fun fact: Dan and Rob watched the 1997 Superbowl (Patriots beat the Packers) live from Israel… at 2:00 AM.

He prays with Rob for a Cubs-Red Sox Fall Classic…. Michael has thoroughly impressed Rob by surviving several Wittenberg family excursions. After graduating the University of Vermont and the National College of Chiropractic, Michael opened his own practice in Chicago. He has been manipulating members of the Wittenberg family and now Genender family ever since. Michael and Rob have hiked the Incan Trail at Machu Picchu, Peru, eaten Caviar in Paris and watched the Patriots play the Bears in Champaign, IL. Michael lives with Abby and his yellow lab, Magic in Bucktown (Chicago).

The Greenbergs moved to West Bloomfield, Michigan shortly after Rachel was born in 1980, but the families remain very close, and take many vacations together. Jaime, Rachel and Mara have spent MANY New Years together, watching their parents play cards and eat M&M’s how exciting…Rachel graduated from Indiana University in 2002 and although the Genenders tried to persuade Rachel to move to Chicago after graduation (maybe her parents would move back if she did), she chose New York instead. Rachel is a fashion publicist for Whisper PR.

Dan Ripes
Friend of the Groom
“Danny” and his wife Ronit are responsible for this website… uh…wedding. Dan gave Rob Jaime’s phone number in late 2000 with the inspirational words, “Just call her.” Dan is another member of Rob’s ΣAM fraternity at UIUC and founding father of The Paper. Avid fans of the Fighting Illini, Rob would make his opinions known to those in the stands, while Dan published his editorials in the Daily Illini. The two have road tripped to Deer Creek, IN, sacked quarterbacks in Chicago and built homecoming floats in Champaign. Dan works for PEAT International, obliterating garbage. He lives with Ronit in Lincoln Park (Chicago).
